Lumeloch Town Festival
Every year in Lumeloch town, there is a grand festival of sorts. The festival brings people from all over Bohren and other neighboring regions to kick off the opening of the Bohren Pokemon League Season. The town hosts various events such as a Pokemon Contest, carnival games and rides, and on the final day, the first Pokemon Tournament: A single battle, one pokemon only free-for-all. Extremely basic, with high stakes: The first Bohren Tournament Ribbon and a very mysterious and valuable prize!
The gates have finally opened and the Lumeloch festival has begun!

The carnival was...boring. Someone from a small town might find it exciting, but for him, it was dull and "quiant" which was never a good adjective in his book. He found himself a seat on a bench close enough to not seem suspicious but far enough away to keep his eye on everyone at the event.

She also seemed to have an almost constant stream of babble going. "Man what a boring town, the lake isn't even big enough to have waves, makes you wish you had a boat or a jetski or something you know? The carnival is fun but man I wish we'd get on circuit already, it's stupid that all the gym leaders have to travel with the tournament circuit, I want to be back in Crescent Beach already - oops, sorry!"
She said the last to Armonde as, while she was paying more attention to griping than walking, she ran right into him.

"Zu zu zu zumarill!" he said, scolding, and Skyler lowered the cotton candy within his reach without even looking.
"You've heard about me? I'm kinda new to the league, you're not local to Tournament Mount or something are you?"
no subject
"I don't mean to be intrusive," except he totally was, "But I'm feeling a bit tired, how about a battle to heat things up around here?" he knew the tournament was happening later that day, but he wanted a fresh start. If he could manage to take down a member of the League, perhaps the other Rocket Operatives could easily win the prize at the main tournament.

He wandered around quite happily, Gia at his side. The Gible was about as excited as her trainer, copying Akito's habit of bouncing a little when he walked. Akito could also sense his other at the back of his mind, Agito watching without much interest. He just wanted to see the battle that was taking place and be a part of it.
People walking by were already talking about a battle at the lake, which made Akito head that way curiously. He didn't like battling much himself, but he was still curious. There was something about a badge being on the line...
Post-battle, I guess?
Speaking of which... she held out her pokeball and released Azumarill, picking him up in her arms. He looked decidedly worse for wear as she scratched him behind the ears. "Sorry about that, buddy. But you were kind of goofing off."
"Zu," Azumarill said tiredly.
"Don't worry about it, there has to be someone with a portable pokemon center around here somewhere."
Works for me!
Akito paused as Gia stopped, looking down towards the lake, or rather at the figure coming towards them. "Gia, what's wrong?" he asked curiously, following her gaze. Spotting the trainer with the hurt Azumarill, he started a little. Bad memories, but they didn't matter right now.
"Ah, hey! Is your Azumarill alright?" he called, running down towards the girl, Gia right behind him. "It looks hurt..." Maybe she'd been in the battle he'd been hearing about.
OMG I tag so slow FAIL
"Huh?" she said, turning around to spot the kid running up to her. "Oh - yeah, he's a little worse for wear from the battle. I'm trying to find one of the field medics they have walking around for the tournament... don't want to have to go all the way back to town."

"Do you require assistance?"

Jim had wandered the grounds of the festival for a bit now; it was interesting but nothing too outstanding. None the less, he was excited. He had been in a crowd of people watching a battle begin, amusement creeping over his features as he heard someone whisper that it was for a badge. "So... she's a gym leader, is she?" he said, looking down to his Gortle Ether and petting his nose. They watched what they could of the battle, taking note of the types of Pokemon she used and how. It would be good information for later.
He had wandered off though, Ether lumbering behind him slow and careful, a small pinkish Ditto nested in his bushes on his shell. They made it around the grounds and back out to the edges, resting there. Seated on the ground and watching folks run about enjoying themselves, he leaned back on the Gortle's shell, sitting near his head and nibbled off some green cotton candy.
"How about that one other there?" He said, pointing to a girl and her Poliwhirl. the pinkish Ditto stares at it, then jumped down to the ground and turned into the Poliwhirl... only it had the small black eyes and was... tiny. Jim snorted. "Not bad. I wonder why you can't get the size right..."
He watched, distracted by the mini Poliwhirl-Ditto as it spun around in a silly manner.
((A lil late but if anyone wishes to talk to him he's around and planning))

"Bliiim~" awfully pleased with itself, the Drifblim began to spin around Viktor.
"Yes, you did a wonderful job. Next time we travel across the country, we're going to check the weather first." He looked down at his pokegear, noticing the scrambled message he had received from another Gym Leader, advising him she had just battle and cause a large storm, "Ah. Well..."
He took off his wet scarf and unzipped his long coat which had kept him dry for the most part. He looked around and threw the scarf into near by trash can, "Drifblim, thank you for the ride, return." he put out a pale purple pokeball, returning the joyful pokemon in a surge of red light.

Apparently he had come across that storm, though who threw away scarves and articles of clothing like that, Jim wasn't sure. The man had really just chucked that scarf huh. He watched with mild interest as the man made his ride return, a split second later Morph shifted, a blob like motion from one pokemon to a... 11 inch Drifblim.
"Not bad. Size is still wrong though..." he mumbled to the little thing in a charming manner, pointing a finger at it with a small smile. Shifting his gaze to the man though, he gave a call out. "Hey mister, Nice Drifblim!" And after a moment, though not as loud, he mused "It must be storming really well out there..."

A hand reached out to pet the little Ditto which bobbed and bounced there chipper, then as the man extended his own hand, Jim reached out to shake it. A firm shake, and a classic roguish smile. "I'm Jim. Jim Hawkins."

By his side was his Chansey, who unlike most of her species was the most sour, grumpy thing...Except to her trainer. She was the one that took care of the actual healing; Freidrich just oversaw it.
no subject
As he turned the corner he saw two very disgruntled figures, both dressed in proper medical attire, a man and a Chansey, "Ah, at last." He strolled up to the two, "I take it you are the festivals Medics, I was just in a rather nasty battle, if you wouldn't mind, entire team needs fixing up." He smiled a bit, as the two didn't seem at all interested in his presence.

Azumarill was out at her side as they approached the arena - Skyler saw with satisfaction that her half of the arena's floor had been pulled back to reveal the pool underneath it. This was a League facility after all, and they wasted no expense on the tournament.
"You ready?" She called across the field, taking her position at the platform. Azumarill returned without even being asked, a flash of light into his pokeball.

There was a flash of light and purple smoke, Viktor liked seals, and Drifblim spun into the air, "Bliiiiiim~" it stopped which cause the smoke to vanish. Slowly, Drifblim floated down to the field.
no subject
"Lucky, go get 'em!" she shouted, tossing Lucky's pokeball into the air. The Lanturn came out mid-throw in a backflip, landing in the water with a neat splash. He popped back up, his anntena bobbing in the water, and gave a glance back at Skyler.
"Sorry about the battles so close together, buddy - you know how tournament season is."
"Lantuuurn," he said, flipping his fin in a little shrug.
no subject
The audience was silent. Viktor ate it up.
He lifted up his arm pointing toward Skyler's end of the field, "WILL-O-WISP!"
"Driiiif!" Blue fire surrounded Drifblim, spinning quickly, "Blim!" the stopped spinning around him and started to spin around Lanturn, closing in until they finally connected, burning it badly.
