Laziness is bad for you
Who: Akito/Agito, their Pokemon, and you!
What: Akgi are bored >: They are taking a time out.
When: Afternoon sometime
Where: Somewhere in Sheercliff with sunlight
It was not often this happened, but as it was, Akito and Agito were both bored. The classes were fine and all, but even after a few days, it felt like they'd been in Sheercliff for forever.
The teen was flat out on his back in the sun, out of the general way but noticeable. The eyepatch for once was not on his face, but instead resting on his stomach, both eyes closed at the moment. He seemed asleep, but it wasn't hard to wake one of them up.
Their Pokemon were around, every one of them out of their pokeballs. Ember was curled up, dozing in her own patch of sun while Gia snuggled into the Vulpix's tail, the Gible fast asleep. Carvanha swam idly in a nearby pond, while Tangela curled up against her trainer. Levi had its hands on a rock, floating and looking out over the area with curiosity. The Metang wanted to test its newly evolved form out, but didn't want to bother Agito for it.
It sighed a little. Why were they here again...?

So at the moment it was just her and Babbity, who'd refused to leave her alone, climbing on the rocks and enjoying themselves enormously. She was barefoot (the amount of Neargle shoe thefts had dropped significantly when she'd began her journey, but Luna still rather enjoyed the feeling of sunlight on her bare toes) and thus balanced on the rocks as securely as a Mankey, though it didn't stop her watchful Lopunny from keeping close, just in case. Humans were so fragile.
Glancing down from her perch, Luna tilted her head at the sight of a slumbering trainer and his scattered Pokemon. "Oh, hello," she whispered to the Pokemon, awake, who may have spotted her. She hopped lightly to the next rock in the line and continued rock by rock in that manner with each word. "You. All. Look. Quite. Comfortable." Running out of words, she stopped on a rock just big enough for one foot and stood there balanced with her arms outstretched while she pondered in which direction to go next.

The Metang ignored him and circled the girl, wondering who she was. Akito had stirred at the sound, rolling onto his side. Tangela whined at the movement. Maybe they would wake up soon...

Babbity had stayed near the top of the stacked rocks, enjoying the view the high perch granted him, and trusted his reflexes should Luna slip up at any point. He was just considering doing some sunbathing when he noticed the Pokemon activity, particularly the Metang (though he didn't appear dangerous) and the hissing Carvanha, the latter of which he narrowed his eyes at.
"Careful!" he said warningly at the shark Pokemon, sounding like a sharp, "Lop!" to human ears.
no subject
Carvanha hissed at the Lopunny at the warning. "You aren't my trainer," he growled, circling faster and glowing slightly, tempted to unleash a Rage on the other Pokemon. Agito wouldn't be pleased about it though, which held him back for now.
no subject
Babbity bared his teeth, moving cautiously into a position better suited to moving quickly if necessary. "She's my trainer," he replied. "Watch it."
no subject
Someone else wasn't though, as it showed when the teen stirred and sat up, right eye opening. "Carvanha, shut up," Agito growled at the shark Pokemon, effectively stopping the hissing. Carvanha backed up slightly before diving underwater away from his irate trainer.
The dark growled and rubbed his head. Damnit he was still tired...he noticed Levi after a moment, and the girl. "Who are you?" he asked tiredly, realising Akito was waking up slowly.
no subject
Upon noticing the trainer waking up, Babbity calmed somewhat, stifling a smug grin at the scolding. He watched the Carvanha scamper away with no small amount of glee, but was far too stoic to actually show this.
no subject
Agito glanced at Levi, who was still hovering around Luna. "Levi," he muttered. "S'name." The dark was half asleep, which mellowed him slightly. He idly patted the Tangela at his side.

Levi watched the bow-cross-curtsy curiously, wondering how Luna managed to keep her balance like that.

Carvanha peered out of the water then and hissed at Akito. The light ignored him and got carefully to his feet without waking up Tangela. Levi floated over to its trainer as Akito walked over to Luna. "Why are you up there on that rock?" Akito asked curiously.
no subject
She glanced down at her feet, as though surprised to see she was, in fact, still standing on a rock, then tilted her head. "Not for any particular reason," she said, and jumped down in front of Akito, landing nimbly on her bare feet. "I was climbing," she explained. "It's what you do in Sheercliff, from what I understand."
Babbity watched all this with some confusion. Normally he was concerned with how other trainers would react to Luna's strange behavior, but this other trainer had so far managed to surpass most of Luna's oddities in about two minutes.
no subject
He moved back a little when she jumped down, Levi following her down. "Oh. Yeah, I guess so. There is a lot to climb here." He looked around a little. "I think I climbed enough on the way here though," he added with a bit of a laugh. Following Ember as she ran from being caught was difficult.
no subject
"I climbed the stairs myself, actually," she said, looking back up at the rock pile, where Babbity still sat, watchful as always. "I thought perhaps the thing to do while I was here, though, was do some rock climbing. While we're waiting for the gym leader, you know. Are you both trainers as well? Here for the tournament?"
no subject
The light followed her faze to the Lopunny. "Oh wow. I haven't seen a Lopunny since I left home," he commented idly. Still watching Babbity, he replied to the question. "We're trainers, yeah. Agito's going to go in the tournament. Me, I don't like battling."
no subject
"Oh, we generally find it very enjoyable," said Luna, speaking of both herself and her Pokemon. "Though, mostly I travel for the interesting sights. I think I might like to be a researcher someday like my father, but I'm not sure. And battling and tournaments are quite fun in the meantime."
no subject
The light's gaze went back to Luna, listening. "A researcher...that sounds like a good thing to do." He smiled at that. "I'd like to enter contests, one day. Battling...doesn't hold much appeal to me. Gia, my Gible...she got really badly hurt one day. I don't want any of my Pokemon to get hurt again."
no subject
"It can be painful," allowed Luna. "It's really only if you enjoy it that it's worth it, I think. You can bear a lot of pain if it's worth it in the end," she said, thinking of her parents.
no subject
"I suppose so..." Akito murmured, nodding a little as he watched Gia. "I've never really been able to do anything like that before though. I only just managed to catch a Pokemon by myself recently."
no subject
Luna followed his gaze to the Gible she'd noted earlier. "Is that her?" she asked politely, tilting her head. "She looks happy."
no subject
The light nodded, walking over to her and gently picking the little land shark up. Gia barely stirred, only moving to bury her head in Akito's chest as he brought her back over to Luna. "I hope she is...Gia was the very first Pokemon I ever had. My older brother gave her to me when I was very little." He smiled at the memory. "We grew up together."
no subject
Luna grinned and leaned forward so that she was eye to eye with the little Gible. "It's very nice to meet you too, Gia," she said solemnly. "I'm Luna." Straightening, she added, "That's how it was with me and Loony. My Mr. Mime. He was a gift from my parents when I was young, so I'd have someone with me when they had to work. And of course, since I started traveling, I've made other friends." These friends, of course, being almost purely her Pokemon.
no subject
Gia yawned a little and chattered at Luna sleepily. Akito giggled at her. He listened curiously. "It's nice to have someone around," the light commented, patting Gia. "My brother was always working too." Having friends was also good. "What other Pokemon do you have?" he asked curiously.
no subject
"With me? I only brought four to Bohren, you see. Babbity and Loony, of course, PZ, my Porygon-Z and Missingno--only a nickname, I haven't caught sight of a real Missingno quite yet. She's a Spiritomb." Luna patted her skirt pocket, where Miss was in fact sleeping peacefully in her rock, safely out of sight of the cruel light of day. Luna glanced over the few Pokemon out in the clearing. "And which ones are yours," she asked curiously.
no subject
Akito giggled at the Spiritomb's nickname, nodding curiously. "You have lots of Psychic and Normal types," he commented. Looking over the Pokemon around, he hummed thoughtfully. "Technically, they all belong to both of us, but...Carvanha won't obey me, and Tangela prefers Agito. Levi will obey us both. Gia hates Agito, so she won't obey him." The Gible snorted slightly, making the light smile at her. "And Ember, my Vulpix, she won't obey Agito either. Ember's timid. She's afraid of everyone except me, Levi and Gia, I think."
no subject
"Hm," said Luna thoughtfully. "I suppose I do." She followed his listing with interest. "That sounds complicated, but I guess you have it all straightened out." She smiled down at Gia whenever she made noise, rather charmed by the rare and apparently affectionate Pokemon. "I suppose you're only allowed six between the two of you, even? Seems a bit unfair."
no subject
The light giggled. "It is hard to remember sometimes. But Agito doesn't nickname the Pokemon who obey him, so it's a little easier to remember those at least."
Gia noticed the look and chirped happily at Luna. She liked this new girl. Akito nodded at the question. "There's two of us, but only one body so we're only allowed six still. We've never had more than two Pokemon before coming here though, so it hasn't been too much of an issue before. My brother didn't let us catch Pokemon at home. Only Carvanha, because Gia wouldn't obey Agito."
no subject
Oh, great, he was referring to them in the plural now himself.
Luna's smile widened and she held out a couple fingers to the Gible, in a rough approximation of a handshake, on a much smaller scale. "I suppose if you have the right strategy, the number of Pokemon doesn't matter," she said absently.
no subject
Gia shook the girls fingers solemnly, then laughed happily. Akito giggled. "Mm! Agito's a very good fighter too. He got this region's first badge easily." The light beamed, proud of his other. "And he did really well in Quakeburg's tournament. That was where we got Tangela." The Pokemon was a common one, but in truth she was ancient, much older than any of Akito's other Pokemon.

He hummed thoughtfully. "You have an advantage with the gym, at least," he commented. "Psychic types are good against Fighting. Agito plans to use Levi against the gym." He glanced up at the Metang, noticing it watching.
no subject
Luna tilted her head, following Akito's gaze up to the two watching Pokemon. "That's true, though I may use Babbity too. He prefers Fighting attacks to his Normal attacks, even with the disadvantage. I think he may have become a boxer, if he'd been born human."
no subject
Akito glanced at the Lopunny. "I'd heard that Lopunny could use fighting moves, and the elemental punches. One of the Elite Four in Sinnoh has a Loppuny that knows Fire Punch." Akito kind of missed home...
no subject
"Oh, I went through Sinnoh circuit, though I never challenged the Elite Four," said Luna. "Perhaps I shall go back someday, I think Babbity would enjoy fighting another Lopunny on equal ground."
no subject
"My brother wouldn't let Agito challenge the circuit, but his work let us meet most of the Leaders and the Elite Four," Akito explained. "Agito did beat a few of them, but since they weren't official matches, we never got the badges for them." Glancing at Carvanha, he added, "I'm almost surprised that Carvanha hasn't evolved yet...he should be near that level."
Carvanha hissed at the glance, circling again to avoid it.
no subject
"Perhaps he's not planning to evolve at all," Luna offered, following Akito's gaze to the hissing Pokemon. She ignored Babbity's amused snort and muttered "Lop.", guessing rightly that it wasn't complimentary. Babbity could be too easily riled up, sometimes, and she hoped he wasn't going to start something unnecessary just because he'd taken a strange disliking to the Carvanha. "Sometimes that happens. I don't think I would enjoy turning into a completely different shape every few years." She tilted her head thoughtfully. "Well. Perhaps I would. I suppose it would depend on what shape..."
no subject
The light pondered on that. "Sharpedo is different to Carvanha," he hummed thoughtfully. "He might not want to. I'll have to see if Agito can find out." He smiled a little at the mention of changing shape. "If I could turn into something with wings, that would be fun~ I've always wanted to know what it's like to fly."
Maybe when Levi evolved again, he could get it to carry him around. Akito grinned at the thought.
