can't climb a cliff with webbed feet
WHO: Sora and anyone else passing by
WHAT: Stuck on the bottom of a cliff and lunch
WHERE: Edges of Sheercliff Town
WHEN: Lunchtime
Sora missed his chance to get his first badge, but that's not going to stop him! Sheercliff Town is right in front of him and so is another chance to win a badge. That is, if he could actually get inside the town.
He stared at his Psyduck and slightly frowned. "You can learn Rock Smash, but not Rock Climb? Well I guess if you evolve..." At that thought he sighed and flopped on the ground. "You can't evolve if I don't win us any battles though." He remembered his first tournament, which ended in a total failure, and decided that he would never feel like that again.
Well what's in the past stays there! There are more important things in life, and his grumbling stomach reminded him of that. He unpacked his supplies, only to discover that he'll be eating yet another PB&J sandwich. "When I get my energy back, I'm climbing in this town and will definitely be learning how to cook."

He returned to the top of the cliff, Arbok at his side, he could use company and Wormadam was off doing investigation work at the Dojo. He stared out at the Ocean, checking his Pokegear for the 10th time in the past hour, "Chaaa~" Arbok slithered over to him, a concerned look in his eyes.
Armonde reached out and patted it on the nose, "Just impatience Arbok, nothing to worry about." he looked over and saw Sora sitting on the cliff and sighed. Great, another kid. Why were there so many on this circuit? He cursed in his head, wishing that he would have been sent to Issuh instead.

Arbok slithered over closer to the kid and looked hungrily at his food, his stomach making a large lurching noise.

"Er, is it alright if I feed your Arbok?"
no subject
Arbok simply beamed and gave the Sora loving, "Chaaaa~"

Armonde pulled out his pokegear and checked a few things on it, sighing to himself quietly, waiting it seemed, for something important.

He caught himself in mid thought, realizing that the way he was thinking was almost identical to that of his own parents. It had been years since he had returned home to see them, and he did not plan on it either. They had not sought contact since the day he left. He looked away from Sora and back at his Arbok, who was still staring at Sora as if he was the greatest thing to have ever happened ever. Armonde let a small smile come across his face as he walked forward and rubbed the back of Arbok's neck.

"Great," he said, and sighed, flipping his bangs irritably. He had three options, according to his Pokegear--Rock climbing, not, in fact, an option; rope ladders, which looked about as sturdy as something made of rope could, and the stairs, which seemed the safest bet but were hardly an appealing option after the trek through Rout 293. Kurt sighed again.
"Just great."
no subject
"So it looks like you're going up using the stairs, too."
no subject
"Um. Hi," he added belatedly.

However, Pikachu sure did! "Pikapika!" it squealed, immediately jumping off of Ash's shoulder in order to meet a new friend.

He remembered that Pikachu weren't too common here so he looked around for the Pokemon's trainer.

Ash soon came up with a smile, laughing exhaustively. "Pikapi!" cried the electric-type as it ran back onto Ash's shoulder.
"Pikachu, did you make a new friend...? Oh, hey!"
no subject
"Oh yeah!" he exclaimed, "I remember now, you're Ash, right?"
no subject
It was true that he understood most of his Pokémon, but it wasn't like he understood them completely.

The Pikachu gave a squeal in reply, as the two of them were determined to do this.

Rava certainly didn't mind the caves of Quakeburg, but she always loved it when the circuit came around and she had a chance to fly in the open air without the possibility of banging her head on something. Open air was amazing.
The Flygon shrieked happily, zooming around before smelling food. She instantly went to investigate, spotting a kid and a Psyduck. Not one of the ones Shawn had battled. She landed nearby, walking over a little curiously. Why wasn't this trainer going up the cliff? Shawn always climbed it. He had a thing for rock climbing...
"Flygon?" She head tilted at the kid curiously.

Donald, on the other hand, ran ahead of him and introduced himself, "Psyduck!"

She lowered her head and chirped happily at the trainer, smiling at him and the Psyduck. New people were always so fun!
Her own trainer wasn't too far away. The black-haired teen didn't really seem like anyone special, just another kid on the circuit. Hearing her name called made Rava peer over her shoulder at him before turning her attention back to Sora, examining him through the red dome covering one of her eyes.
