A-Pokemon hunting we shall go!
WHO: Akito Wanijima and anyone else
WHAT: Pokemon catching and evolving and bickering
WHERE: Route 293
WHEN: After the Quakeburg Tournament
Akito was having some slight problems now that the tournament was over. Gia was finally out of her pokeball again and very glad about it, but the little land shark was currently having some major issues with the newest addition to Akito's team in the form of a certain Tangela.
Put simply, the two female Pokemon were not going so well with one another. Gia was generally good with everyone, but she did get overly jealous when people and Pokemon clung to Akito. And Tangela it seemed was slightly stubborn and stuck up. So naturally the two were clashing.
The light bit his lip, Levi floating next to him as the Gible and Tangela tussled, vines being thrown around and sand flying.
"Levi, we need to stop them..." he muttered softly, glancing at the Beldum. It hummed in agreement, floating down to the two Pokemon. The other two weren't exactly paying attention to it though...
Akito sighed. He knew Agito was wanting to train...Levi should be near evolving, and Tangela needed training, but...

But when he saw a trainer, he knew he couldn't ignore this. "Hey!" called out Ash with an excited wave, his eyes gleaming with slight excitement.

Levi floated back up to Akito's head height as the teen turned from the wrestling two. "Hi," he called back, trying to remember if he'd seen the boy before...oh! The tournament, that was right. He'd been in it too. "You're Ash, right?"

Giving a sheepish laugh, he then decided to ask something. "So...what're you up to?"
no subject
"Um...neh, I was trying to get those two to stop," he admittedly sheepishly, turning to look at the Gible and Tangela, who had stopped fight but were glaring at one another. Gia was growling slightly. "They don't seem to be getting along well..."
Akito looked around the area after he mentioned that. "And I heard that there's Vulpix in this area...I kind of wanted to catch one, but I'm not very good at catching Pokemon..." He rubbed his neck worriedly. "I've never actually caught a Pokemon by myself before..."

The little rodent squealed happily in return. "If there's a Vulpix, we'll have to find it, then!" There was fire in his eyes. He was definitely determined to help out a new friend in need.

"Gia was my first Pokemon," Akito commented, patting her. Listening to that, he beamed happily. "If you could...that would be really awesome~ I've always wanted to catch a Pokemon by myself~"
Gia and Levi cheered approval for this idea, the Beldum hovering by Akito's head. They wanted to help too!

"Alright! We'll have to search around for some wild Pokémon, then! C'mon," he mentioned, gesturing for him to follow while they try to find some wild Pokémon. Since Ash was going to teach, it didn't have to be a Vulpix right away, but it would be super-lucky if they found it on their first try!

The light happily followed Ash, Gible chittering away a little worriedly. Was it alright for Akito to try catching a Pokemon like this? He hated battles... "It'll be okay Gia," Akito replied, picking her up and carrying her. "It's not an actual battle, so I think I'll be fine." An actual battle was scary...this was just to try and make new friends. He hated having to hurt Pokemon to catch them, but he'd try his best to make it up to them later.
He really did want a Vulpix too...they were so cute~

Ash's Pikachu then perked its ears and squealed, noting that there was a Pokémon nearby!

Gia heard Pikachu's call and leaped down from Akito's arms to make sure she was between him and whatever Pokemon was around. Akito blinked and looked around curiously. He wondered if it was one of the more common Pokemon around...or if they'd gotten lucky somehow and found a Vulpix.

Ash then almost fell to the ground, but okay this could work. "Alright, then! I'll teach you how to catch this one, and then we can find a Vulpix!"
Determination? I think so.

"Okay!" the light chimed, bouncing a little readily. Paras was kind of cute, but either way was alright. He wanted to learn!

He then laughed, but he then decided to say, "I'll take care of Paras. You should have your Pokémon rest until we actually find Vulpix, okay? Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" And out came the thunderbolt from the tiny mouse, hitting the crab right on the spot. It seemed pretty knocked out, due to the fact that the crab was a very low level, but it was a good enough Pokémon.
"Then, you use a Pokéball!" He then threw the Pokéball at the Paras, hoping that he would catch it. C'mon, c'mon, c'mon...

Levi and Gia watched as Pikachu attacked, both them and their trainer slightly awed at how strong the Pikachu was. Akito watched the Pokeball, feeling the tension even though he wasn't trying for his own Pokemon. It was exciting and nerve wracking! He couldn't begin to imagine what it'd be like trying it himself.

"You think we can do that?" he asked Gia and Levi. The Gible head tilted a little before nodding happily. The Beldum hummed agreement, floating up to Akito's head height. The light giggled and patted it. "I hope you're right!" He really want a Vulpix...and Agito did need a fire type for battles.

It was because he didn't have any siblings, nor did he understand this world that he failed so many times.

He wondered how they were going to find a Vulpix...Gia was already wandering around, looking, but her trainer thought they moght have to go hunting for one...

Determination, Akito. You can have it.

Gia chirped and dug her way underground, heading off in a random direction. "Hey, Gia, where are you going?" Akito called, blinking a little. Maybe she had found something? He followed her. "Maybe she knows where to go!"
