Really, Officer, it followed me home!
WHO: Saori [OPEN]
WHAT: One very persistant pokemon will not leave her alone
WHERE: Route 293
WHEN: Post-Quakesburg Tournament
"Sweetie, for the last time, I can't take you with me." Saori stooped down to reason with the Shieldon. Yes, it was the exact same one she used in the tournament and returned to the local research facility after the event was done. What Saori didn't know was that the Shieldon actually managed to escape and track her down. During this time, she was digging around one of the areas to get herself a fossil and a few evolution stones when she was tackled down by the run away pokemon.
The Shieldon shook his head and stomped the ground with his front feet. He clearly wasn't going to leave. "Okay, so it's more like I shouldn't take you with me. Really though, the research facility will take good care of you, I promise. Now how about we go back to Quakesburg?" Again, he refused. This stalemate was even more ridiculous than her battle in the tournament.

Suddenly, Faust's head snapped up and he began sniffing the air. "What is it?" Bri asked, but the pokemon didn't answer her, just started casting about on the ground and then bounded off. "Faust!" She ran after him, panting, mentally cursing the fact that she had trained him so well. Of course when he caught a suspicious scent he just... took off.
Bri rounded a corner and found Faust face-to-face with a Sheildon... a familiar-looking Sheildon. "I guess," she panted, "you found," she gasped, "our escapee."

Saori looked up to Bri and Faust approaching them. At the mention of an escapee, she figured the trainer was probably a ranger. Finally maybe they could knock some sense into the stubborn pokemon.
"I'm sorry he's caused you so much trouble. I've been trying to get him back to research center, but he refuses to go."

Faust, taken aback by the small steel-type's defiance, crouched and growled at the other pokemon, occasionally erupting into his signature hair-raising barks. It was ridiculous that a steel-type would try to face off against a fire-type, and he told the Sheildon as much.

The Shieldon defiantly said he didn't care and he wanted to stay with Saori no matter what. His knees shook a bit when Faust barked, but he stood his ground. He was well aware the odds were against him, but he didn't want to stay at the facility.

"Sheildons aren't exactly rare," Bri said - her tone was bland. "The researchers said he had broken out from the lab but they didn't sound all that upset about it.
She eyed her Houndoom, who made a peculiar little whuffing sound. You want to stay with the trainer? he seemed to ask.
no subject
The Shieldon gave a nod. He reassured the Houndoom by moving over to Saori's side.

"What I'm saying," Bri said slowly, as if it pained her to do so, "is that I don't think they would miss him."
Faust whipped his head around so fast that he nearly fell over, his tail stiffening in shock. Was his trainer really suggesting that they not turned the Sheildon in? That Saori could keep him?
It almost did physically pain her, and Faust's reaction really did remind her that she was disobeying the orders of her position - but she looked from the Sheildon to the trainer and shrugged.

Shieldon looked up at Saori and nudged her, as if trying to assure her it'll be okay. Still, she couldn't help but feel troubled by this.

"I'll get a reprimand," Bri said with a shrug. "But honestly, I'd rather see the pokemon happy with a trainer than bored in a lab."

Lovely was still out and was exploring the large boulders and crevices in the cave, hoping up and down and all around. Milla simply stared at the map of the route, right in front of her face, not watcing where she was walking, "We should be on ze Shrine fairly soon...this cave is just so large!"
no subject
"Milla? Is that you?"
no subject
Lovely hoped down from the cave's tops and walked over to the Shieldon and started to sniff it, inspecting the new Pokemon it did not recognize.

The Shieldon stood still, letting Lovely inspect him. He just tilted his head as he watched. But seeing how the trainers seemed to know each other, he figured they would be alright.

More like the Shieldon was attached to her cooking, but same difference. In the mean time, the fossil pokemon sat down and watched the two trainers converse, wagging his stubby tail now and then.
JOURNAL FAIL
Milla gave a little chuckle, "Well he zeems like a great Pokemon! So are you busy? Lovely and I were just about to go to the Regigias shrine, if you'd like to join us!"
I saw nothing. |D
"I don't see why not. I could use a break from trying to find fossils." Before the tournament, she most regarded fossil pokemon to be just rock types, but after seeing that Tropius, she just had to have one.

"It is suppose to be truly wonderful! I cannot wait to see it. There is even a temple that was built into the cave walls around it. How marvelous" she put the map down and smiled at Saori and giggled at Lovely, "She seems to like you."
no subject
"To think that such a place was built underground still fascinates me to no end." Still, some of her pokemon would like to be above ground, soaking up the sun right about now. "Aww, I like you too, Lovely. Once we get to a good place to stop, I'll give you one of my poffins, okay? And you too, Shieldon."
The Shieldon was pinged by the mention of food and jumped into Saori's arms, almost knocking her over with some of its strength.

The turned a fair large curve and Milla gasped, "O-oh! My!" in front of them, about 50 feet tall was a giant carving of Regigias, completely out of blue gray stone. There was a good number of tourists taking photographs and pointing it out to children, "It is so marvelous! I never expected..."
"Espe..." even Lovely was taken away by how spectacular the statue was. Under the legs was a small stone building, with a sign that said 'Temple Entrance.'
no subject
"It's amazing. And to think they built this with only the simplest of tools." The scene really was breath taking. Even Shieldon was stunned by the sheer size of the carving and the attention to details the ancient people put into it.

Milla shrieked as a Zubat flew quickly through the room they were in and to the outside, "Goodness! Nearly gave me a heart attack! I do not like being surprised like tha-AEEEEEI!" she was then greeted with an gigantic group of Zubats who swarmed the room but as soon as the arrived, they vanished out the entrance.
