Quakesberg Tournament!
The crowds have gathered here at the Quakesberg Arena for the second major tournament of the Bohren Circuit! The Arena itself is built in one of the largest known caves in the Bohren Region. The stands are full of spectators, carrying posters with messages to their favorite competitor, "Go Agito Go!" and "Skyler, Skyler she's our man!" just to name a few. Rumors have been flying around about the mysterious Medic and his great win at the Lumeloch festival. Will he take home the Quakesberg Ribbon? And another grand prize?! Who knows!
Of course, this tournament is proving quite a difficulty for some trainers. Each trainer has received a fossil, chosen at random, which they were given two hours to train with. They are only allowed to use that Pokemon for the entire course of the tournament. So far one trainer was carried off into the depths of the tunnel system by a feisty Aerodactyl and another trainer received a Pokemon that has not been discovered yet! Of course, he was given a new one as Pokemon researchers quickly scooped up the mysterious new Pokemon in question for research. No ladies and gents, I do not have a photo or video of it, so don't ask.
After the first round preliminary battles we have 14 trainers standing strong allowed to compete here at the Quakesberg Arena. Remember each of these trainers had to battle it out with the resident gym leader Shawn and earn the Fissure badge to enter the tournament. So these remaining competitors are truly the best of the best of the Bohren Circut. Ah! And here it is! The updated bracket now!

Where are we starting?:
You have won the first round of the preliminaries. This tournament is noticeably smaller in comparison, since the Fissure badge is required.
SHODDY USERS REMEMBER: Shoddy requires you to have 6 Pokemon on your team to battle. Please put the Pokemon that was given to you as your lead. Set the Level to 100 as well as all EV's to 0. Make sure you use the move set provided. When that Pokemon faints (WITHOUT SWITCHING OUT) the battle is over. Feel free to exaggerate a little to make your post go longer if you'd like. If you want to work out Plot with competitors please do so here.
Plot:
One trainer (NPC) received an Aerodactyl, who is...um...rather unpleasant. Said trainer and Pokemon will occasionally be flying through the Arena during mid battle. Members of the RTF will be attempting to assist said trainer, but to no avail, he will not be rescued until after the tournament is over. Please feel free to use this within your own battles. This can either be used for hilarity or effect the entire battles outcome. Both members of the RTF and
quakekid well be attempting to catch said Pokemon, so if it does appear, please be open for those players to jump in.
Let's get to it!

She carried her Corsola in her arms as she took her side of the field, the pokemon wiggling happily to see an arena. The pokemon was cute - not at all keeping with her image of someone who would run down criminals with her pokemon, but cute.
"You ready to battle?" she asked.
"Corsola!" the pokemon said excitedly, and she set the little coral down as it sprang into the water on Bri's side of the field. Bri took another moment to glance over her list of moves and smiled - she fit almost perfectly with Bri's normal strategy. This would be a good battle.
She wasn't in uniform for this battle, rather she took the field in civilian clothes - she was hoping to keep her identity as an agent secret.

Jade's assigned Tropius had walked itself into the arena, still absently chewing some leaves from a tree outside. He'd done his best to train the dinosaur, and while he believed he'd had some effect - at least it obeyed his commands - he hadn't exactly made much of a connection to it. The Tropius was rather aloof and barely seemed to pay attention to its new trainer's existence beyond doing whatever Jade ordered so it could go back to its own business(which was usually eating); Jade couldn't tell if it was genuinely disinterested or, perhaps, merely stupid. He'd never heard of dinosaus having the biggest brains.
Jade suspected that if he were a Pokemon, his attitude might be similar, which had mollified his feelings regarding the Tropius' attitude...somewhat. Anyway, if he'd learned anything in his years of learning to train Pokemon properly, it was that he could hardly expect to have won the thing's respect and enthusiasm properly in two hours unless it had already been naturally inclined to give them.
Now to wait for Dist...he was probably raising a huge fuss at the registration desk, having heard who he would be facing.

There was something about that Tropius that she liked. Maybe because it was clearly a grass type, or maybe it was because it was something she never saw before. Regardless as to why she liked it, she was determined to get one and was going to watch this battle closely.

She sighed and took her place on her side of the field. Lovely refused to be put away and insisted that it be allowed out to watch the battles with her. Sitting to her side she eagerly waited for the next competitor to enter the field.

Speaking of the light, he was paying very close attention to this tournament. For good reason.
'Agito, I really hope you win...I don't want to give her up after this! She's so cute...'
The dark sighed in annoyance, shaking his head. Outwardly he was annoyed about this whole mess, but since Akito was in his head, he knew Agito was slowly taking a liking to the small Grass Pokemon. They both wanted to win.
Once he'd taken his place, the Tangela obligingly let go and padded to the field. Agito eyed the Relicanth, pleased with this. Rock/Grass type meant this should be a very fast match.

She looked over the field - someone had been kind enough to already program an environment for Anorith, of some marshy waterside with shallow pools of water. Skyler knew that this pokemon was a ground-type, but to her delight it not only knew a water move but loved playing in the water. Constance had immediately taken a liking to the other little fossil pokemon - even if Azumarill thought it was a complete nuisance and avoided it.
Anorith scuttled out onto the field and immediately buried itself halfway in the marshy mud, looking supremely content. "Well okay," she said with a laugh, "but you know we have to battle pretty soon here, right?"

"C'mon now, luv. We got this far, eh?" Usually through no work of his own, of course. The Craindos refused to follow most of his orders, meaning that he'd gotten this far into the tournament through sheer luck. "Just concentrate, awright?" Right. As if asking nicely would work.
Craindos just gave him a look, and then launched itself onto the field, posturing and stomping. At least it had some enthusiasm?
"You ready, Skyler?"

And, he'd decided, Tropius wouldn't be a bad addition to his team with some work. Not a permanent fixture, perhaps, but worth bringing out for specific instances. He didn't have many Grass Pokemon at all. That only inspired him further to try to win.
His opponent, he'd heard, was a fellow RTF officer, though he hadn't heard much about them otherwise. He waited alongside Tropius for their arrival.

Anorith scambered onto the field, eager to bury itself in the mud again. "Okay, come on. Once was funny, even if you did win that battle."
Anorith declined to answer. Its eyes were even shut.

He took his place on the field, Bronzor hovering over him. He waited patiently, eyeing the field he found Wormadam hovering toward the top bleachers. He nodded, and she nodded back. No...not this time, it was still far too soon. He put his arm up and scratched the back of his head, Wormadam vanished.

Tangela clung to his leg, chittering away happily. She was so close to actually getting to stay with him! That was all she wanted, since seeing all the other Pokemon being taken away was. Bothersome. She wanted to stay with Agito as long as possible.
The dark was ignoring her partly, wondering when the trainer he was against would show up. He wanted to get the show on the road already.
